Sri Lanka Beat South Africa By 3 Wickets

Sri Lanka beat South Africa by 3 wickets in the lone T-20 match of the series in Colombo.

Batting first, South Africa bowled out for just 98 runs in 16.4 overs two runs less than their previous low score of 100 against Pakistan in 2013.

Sri Lanka's Lakshan Sandakan led an inspired spin attack to help skittle out South Africa for their lowest ever twenty-20 total.

Sandakan returned 3 for 19 with his left-arm wrist spin, ably supported by fellow spinners Dhananjaya De Silva and Akila Dananjaya who took two wickets each.

In reply, Sri Lanka achieved the target in 16 overs for loss of 7 wickets.

Dhananjaya De Silva remained top scorer with 31 runs while Dinesh Chandimal added unbeaten 30.

For South Africa Kagiso Rabada, Tabraiz Shamsi and Junior Dala took two wickets each.

Sri Lanka swept the two-test series but the Proteas returned to clinch the one-day internationals 3-2.
