New Federal Cabinet Takes Oath
The new federal cabinet takes oath at the President House in Islamabad. The 21-member cabinet includes sixteen ministers and five advisers.
President Mamnoon Hussain has administered the oath.
The portfolios of the ministers have also been decided.
Dr. Muhammad Farogh Naseem has been nominated as Minister for Law and Justice, Ch. Tariq Bashir Cheema as Minister for Safron, Noor-Ul-Haq Qadri nominated as Minister for Religious Affairs, Shireen Mazari as Minster for Human Rights, and Ghulam Sarwar Khan has been nominated as Minister for Petroleum Division.
Zubaida Jalal has been nominated as Minister for Defence Production, Fawad Chaudhry as Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Asad Umer to hold portfolio of Minister for Finance, Pervez Khattak Minister for Defence, Shah Mahmood Qureshi has been nominated as Minister for Foreign Affairs.
Amir Mehmood Kiyani has been nominated as Minister for National Health Services, Sheikh Rasheed as Railways Minister, Fehmida Mirza nominated as Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has been nominated as Minister for Informational Technology.
Shafqat Mahmood will hold the portfolio of Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training.
Khusro Bakhtiar has been nominated as Federal Minister for Water Resources.
Anwar Mansoor Khan has been appointed as Attorney General of Pakistan.
