Pakistan Navy Day
Pakistan Navy Day is being celebrated today with traditional zeal and dignity to commemorate Navy’s stunning performance against a much bigger enemy during 1965 war.
Daring raid by Pakistan Navy warships on Dwarka and bottling up of entire Indian Navy fleet by PN submarine ghazi are the glorious reminiscence of the day.
Special ceremonies are being held to pay tribute to the heroes of Pakistan Navy for their bravery during the 1965 war.
In his message on the occasion, Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi said the Navy Day is reminiscent of a glorious chapter in Pakistani nation’s history when unmatched courage and unwavering commitment of men in whites quashed the pipe dreams and misplaced ambitions of our adversary.
He said Pakistan Navy commemorates this day to pay tributes to ghazis and war heroes whose sacrifices and gallant acts instill in us a renewed spirit and unabating resolve.
The Naval Chief said prevalent international environment continued to be dynamic and in a state of flux.
He said Pakistan Navy through its initiatives and diverse engagements with regional and extra regional navies had emerged as a key player in the region’s collaborative maritime security paradigm.
