S. Punjab Reach National T20 Cup Final

Southern Punjab defeated defending champions Northern by seven wickets in the first semi final and qualify for the final of National T20 Cup in Rawalpindi.

Earlier, Northern captain Imad Wasim won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first northern scored 160 runs for the loss of five wickets in allotted 20 overs.

Opener Ali Imran and Zeeshan Malik provide 37 runs stand for the first wicket.

Zeeshan Malik made 16 runs before Mohammad Abbas got his wicket.

Ali Imran and Haider Ali then added 43 runs for the second wicket.

Ali Imran completed his half century and made 50 off 35 balls. He smashed three sixes and four fours in his innings.

Haider Ali made 18 while skipper Imad Wasim scored 19 runs.

In the end, Shadab Khan played a superb knock. He made unbeaten 48 off 27 deliveries. Shadab hit three sixes and four boundaries.

For Southern Punjab, Zahid Mehmood bagged three wickets.

In reply Southern Punjab achieved the 161-run target for the loss of three wickets in 18.4 overs.

Openers Shan Masood and Zeeshan Ashraf provide brilliant start to their team.

Both added 91 runs stand for the first wicket in 10 overs.

Zeeshan Ashraf completed his half century and made 55 runs off just 32 balls, he hit four fours and four sixes in his quick-fire knock.

Skipper Shan Masood played a match winning knock. He remained top scorer with unbeaten 79 off 58 balls. He smashed six fours and two fours.

Shoaib Maqsood made 16 runs.

For Northern, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan and Muhammad Musa took one wicket each.

Shan Masood was declared man of the match.

Meanwhile in the second semi final, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa defeated Sindh by eight wickets.

KPK won the toss and put Sindh into bat.

Batting first Sindh were bowled out for 142 runs in 19.5 overs.

Top order of Sindh batting collapsed as they lost five wickets for just 47 runs.

Khurram Manzoor and Danish Aziz then added 80 runs stand for the sixth wicket.

Khurram remained top scorer with 74 runs. He smashed eight fours and two sixes in his innings.

Danish Aziz made 39 off 27, hitting three sixes.

Only two batsman reached double figures.

For Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Imran Khan and Usman Shinwari bagged two wickets each.

In reply Khyber Pakhtunkhwa achieved the 143-run target for the loss of just two wicket in 14.5 overs.

Openers Fakhar Zaman and captain Mohammad Rizwan provide their team a blistering start.

Both added 113 runs stand for the first wicket in just 10.4 overs.

Fakhar Zaman completed his half century. He made 57 off 29 balls, hitting eight fours and two sixes.

Mohammad Rizwan also completed his half century. He remained top scorer with 67 off 50 deliveries.
