Sindh could only manage a 32-run lead in the first innings after they scored 239 to Central Punjab's first innings score of 207, on day-three in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in Karachi.

And elsewhere southern Punjab crushed Northern by an innings and 96 runs. Southern Punjab scored colossal 507 for 9 in response to Northern's paltry 165 all-out in the first innings. Southern Punjab's Hussain Talat smashed 253 and captain Shan Masood posted 134. Northern in their second innings were restricted to 246, with Zahid Mahmood the main tormentor bagging six wickets and giving southern Punjab a big victory.
