8 Killed In Kabul Rocket Attacks : Several Rockets Hit Residential Areas

At least 8 civilians killed and wounding a dozen more as several Rockets hit residential areas in the early rush hour in the Afghan Capital Kabul.

Police Officials said, the explosions, close to the diplomatic enclave, sent warning sirens blaring from embassies and it comes two days before a major Donor Conference for Afghanistan in Geneva.

Interior Ministry Spokesman Tariq Arian said, the terrorists fired 23 Rockets on the city of Kabul. Based on the initial information, eight people were martyred, and 31 others were wounded. A Police source also confirmed the toll.

He said "terrorists" mounted the Rockets in a small truck and set them off, adding that the investigation is going on to find out how the vehicle came inside the city.

Taliban insurgents, fighting against a Foreign-backed Kabul Administration, denied involvement in the attack.
