President Alvi, Well Wishers Bid Farewell To Elephant Kaavan
President Arif Alvi visited Islamabad Zoo to bid farewell to Elephant named Kaavan, as it departs to a sanctuary in Cambodia by the end of this month.
The President was briefed about arrangements made for shifting Kaavan to Cambodia.
Federal Minister for Climate Change Zartaj Gul, Special Assistant Ameen Aslam and others were present on the occasion.
A warm but bittersweet farewell was given to Kaavan, as it departs to a sanctuary in Cambodia by the end of this month.
A Russian Cargo Plane has especially been chartered to Transport Kaavan.
Kaavan arrived in Pakistan in 1985 as a Presidential gift from the Sri Lankan Government in 2002.
