PM Chairs Federal Cabinet Meeting
Federal Cabinet accords approval to the draft legislation on rape crimes to remove all legal lacunas in court proceedings to punish the criminals. He chaired the Cabinet meeting in Islamabad.
Later, briefing the Newsmen on cabinet decisions flanked by Federal Ministers Hammad Azhar and Khusro Bakhtiar, Information Minister Shibli Faraz said, the Prime Minister took notice of Kashmore incident and underscored to serve exemplary punishment to the rapists.
Federal Minister for economic affairs Khusro Bakhtiar said, the flour prices have also stabilized after release of Wheat stocks by provinces and import of the commodity.
The Minister said, the Cabinet members also condoled over the demise of mother of Sharif brothers adding that the government has not stopped Nawaz Sharif, his sons and Ishaq Dar to return to Pakistan and participate in the funeral of their mother.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar said, crushing season has begun and the Sugar prices have decreased by 10 to 12 rupees per kilogram.
Highlighting that the Cabinet approved to establish I.T. Parks in Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar, the Minister said, such parks will also be setup in Karachi and Quetta. The Information Minister said, Pakistan witnessed 44 percent increase in export of I.T. Products.
