PM Chairs Federal Cabinet Meeting
Federal Cabinet accorded approval to extend jurisdiction of auditor general of Pakistan to all autonomous bodies.
Briefing the newsmen about Federal Cabinet meeting, Information Minister Shibli Faraz said Pakistan is loosing 180 billion rupees annually due to petrol smuggling that moved the government to take strict action.
The minister said, one hundred ninety petrol pumps have been sealed over selling smuggled petrol and there are two thousand ninety four petrol pumps which are involved in selling low-quality fuel which is hazardous for the environment.
Federal Minister Asad Umar raised the issue of Osama Satti case in the Cabinet, Shibli Faraz said, the joint investigation team has concluded the probe into the case.
He said, prime minister imran khan expressed displeasure over the incident and directed to bring the culprits to justice.
The Information Minister said, the inter-ministerial committee has been constituted to analyze broadsheet case.
On sugar and wheat issue, the minister said, the federal cabinet discussed the legislation to ensure wheat and sugar supply.
