Munich Open : Basilashvili Beats Struff To Win The Title

Nikoloz Basilashvili of Georgia survived a rain interruption and a challenge from German jan-lennard struff to win the BMW open in Munich.

Seeded fifth, Basilashvili needed just 86 minutes to top the seventh-seeded struff 6-4, 7-6. He did not lose a set in any of his five matches this week. For Basilashvili, it was his fifth win in seven career ATP finals. He won the Qatar Open in March and the win in munich improved his record to 14-2 on German clay courts. The final was the first of struff's ATP career.
