Death anniversary of renowned TV and film actress Roohi Bano is being observed today.

Roohi Bano, a versatile actress, had joined the TV fraternity when she was doing her MSC in psychology from the government college, Lahore.

Roohi acted in a few films but television was where her heart was.

Her outstanding performances in Qila Kahani, Zard Gulab, Hairatkada, Darwaza, Kiran Kahani, placed her above her counterparts.

Bano’s only son was murdered in Lahore in 2005, after which she had abandoned her career and led a reclusive life in Lahore. She was staying at fountain house, a facility for people living with serious mental illnesses.
