President Dr Arif Alvi says Pakistan has comprehensive legislation in place regarding human rights.

Addressing an event in connection with International Human Rights in Islamabad, he said Pakistan is evolving and there is recognition of the rights of different segments of the society including the minorities.

He said the whole state machinery comes to action whenever any incident happens against the minorities.

The President stressed for the financial empowerment of women.

Arif Alvi voiced serious concerns over the situation in Gaza saying innocent people including women and children are being killed there.
