Telephone Call by H.E. Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on assuming the office of the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a congratulatory telephone call from Mr. Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, today.

The Prime Minister thanked his Malaysian counterpart for felicitating him on assuming the office of Prime Minister. While underscoring the close and cordial relations between Pakistan and Malaysia, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of regular high-level exchanges to ensure robust bilateral cooperation.

Both leaders agreed to work closely to further strengthen the existing ties between the two countries. Regional developments, particularly the situation in Gaza, also came under discussion.

The Prime Minister extended an invitation to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to visit Pakistan. While accepting the invitation, the Malaysian Prime Minister also invited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to visit Malaysia.

The Malaysian Prime Minister also conveyed his best wishes for former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
