Pashto Poet Shrine Renovation : FC North Completes Renovation At Amir Hamza Baba's Shrine

Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa north has completed the decoration and renovation of the famous Pashto Poet Amir Hamza Baba's shrine.

To pay tribute to the services of Amir Hamza, FC KPK organized a grand ceremony at his shrine. Major general inspector general frontier corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North was the Chief Guest of the event.

Amir Hamza Baba Shinwari was born in 1907 in Landi Kotal area of Khyber district.

He was given the title of Baba e Pashto Ghazal and Sufi Saint. Even in the freedom movement, he created enthusiasm among the youth with his poetry.

After the establishment of Pakistan, he joined Radio Pakistan and devoted his life for the preservation of Pashto language and culture.

After his death in 1994, he was buried in Landi Kotal. And due to his valuable services for the country and the region, his mausoleum was built at Landi Kotal.

Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa north has completed the decoration of his shrine to pay tribute to him.

A grand ceremony was held in this regard. Major general inspector general frontier corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North was the chief guest of the event.

In the ceremony, eminent poets narrated the life of Amir Hamza Baba Shinwari in their collection of poems.
