Israel has ordered residents and displaced Palestinians to evacuate the Beit Hanoon area of Gaza city, as local media warn that a “large scale” Israeli army operation is expected to begin there soon.

24 people have been martyred and dozens injured in overnight Israeli attacks that destroyed two homes and tents sheltering displaced people in central Gaza’s Deir El-Balah.

With much of Gaza reduced to rubble by 10 months of war, counting the dead has become a challenge for the territory's health ministry, as the death toll nears 40,000.

At least 91,645 people have been left wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza.
