Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the Government's vision envisages access to smartphones for every individual, broadband internet facilities for every household, and QR code facilities for all businesses

He conveyed these priorities during a meeting with a delegation from the GSM Association, led by its Asia Pacific Head, Julian Gorman. The Prime Minister highlighted that the Federal Government has allocated a historic development budget this fiscal year to promote the Information Technology and Telecom Sectors.

Shehbaz Sharif underscored the Government's commitment to enhancing the country's it exports and acknowledged the significant role of GSMA in digitalization processes. He welcomed the organization's initiative to hold a Digital National Summit in Islamabad to further boost Telecommunications and IT promotion.
