FO Spokesperson Weekly Briefing : Pakistan Rejects Baseless Reports Of Sending Missiles To Iran

Pakistan has rubbished baseless media reports regarding sending Shaheen iii missiles to Iran following the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

At her weekly briefing, the foreign office spokesperson responding to a question by a reporter said, such reports are patently false and malicious.

The spokesperson further said, before paying any attention to such reports, it is important to reflect on the source behind such baseless reports and the malicious agenda behind them.

The spokesperson said, this is a critical time in the middle east and we, therefore, urge all parties, including the media, not to indulge in peddling of fake news.

A report by Jerusalem post, retweeted by Tehran times stated that Pakistan has committed to sending Shaheen iii missiles to Iran following the assassination of Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh.

In response to another question about Indian reports of Pakistan's involvement in Bangladesh incidents, the spokesperson emphasized that such reports reflect india's mental obsession with Pakistan saying there are positive relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. She said the Pakistani government and people express solidarity with the Bangladeshi people.

She said that Pakistan also rejects indian allegations of Pakistan's involvement in militancy in occupied Kashmir.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar visited Saudi Arabia and highlighted the crimes committed by Israel in Gaza at the extraordinary meeting of the OIC executive committee.
