Pakistan Was Always A Democracy : 77th Anniversary Of 1st Constituent Assembly Of Pakistan Today
The 77th anniversary of the first constituent Assembly of Pakistan is being celebrated today.
On the occasion of this important day, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said in his message that the first session of the constituent assembly was held in Karachi on august 10, 1947.
He said, the establishment of the constituent assembly was a manifestation of the public and democratic thinking of the leaders.
The parliament represents two hundred and fifty million people. The speaker of the National Assembly said, the welfare of the people is the first priority. He said, if the parliament is strong, the democracy will be strong and the problems faced in the country can be solved only through the parliament.
Meanwhile Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah said on this occasion that the strength of the parliament and the continuation of democracy in the country is indispensable for the development of the country.
