Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over an important meeting regarding issues of Federal Board Of Revenue.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said, FBR is a vital institution catering for the country's economy. He said, digitization of FBR is an important milestone in Government's economic reforms.

He said, improvement in revenue will improve the provision of services to the people and uplift social sector.

Prime Minister directed to invite good taxpayers and consult them on FBR transformation plan and take suggestions from them.

He said, promotion of the private sector is among the Government's priorities. He also urged third party audit of all FBR projects.

FBR officials informed the Prime Minister that the FBR plan includes a comprehensive strategy for effective use of information technology, motivation of officers and staff to improve tax collection and improve enforcement of tax laws.

This program will enable more tax to be collected in a better manner without hindering the journey of economic development and will provide more convenience to the people who pay full tax from every class.
