Israel Pounds Beiruit: Israeli Attack Came After Missiles From Lebanon Kill 7 In Israel
Israeli jets pound Beiruit's Southern Subrubs for first time in days after seven people were killed in Israel in a missile strike from Lebanon.
Blasts and thick smoke were seen over Beirut early on Friday amid ongoing hostilities between Hezbollah and Israeli forces.
Israel carried out the air strikes in the area, Reuters witnesses said, the first strikes there in nearly a week.
The strike came a day after rocket attacks from Lebanon on northern Israel killed seven people.
Thailand's Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa said four Thais were among those killed in the strikes.
He said another Thai citizen was injured.
Thai Foreign Minister said his country continues to strongly urge all parties to end the prolonged and deepening conflict.
