Iran, Russia Close To Strategic Pact: Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement To Be Signed Soon
Russia has announced that the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Moscow and Tehran will be finalized in the near future.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov revealed the important development during the plenary session of the 2nd International Conference On Eurasian Security in Minsk.
Lavrov said the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Iran will significantly strengthen Russian-Iranian relations.
The treaty will see even closer cooperation in the areas of defense and in the interests of peace and security both regionally and globally between Iran and Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also announced the signing of this significant security with Iran on October 23, during the BRICS Summit in Kazan.
During Putin's meeting with his Iranian Counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, he said the agreement would be concluded soon.
