Judicial Commission Nominees: Speaker Nominates Parliamentarians For Appointments In The Judicial Commission
Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has nominated members of the National Assembly of Parliamentary Parties for the Judicial Commission.
According to the National Assembly spokesperson, the speaker has nominated Sheikh Aftab Ahmed of the PML-N from the Treasurey Benches and Opposition Leader Omar Ayub from the National Assembly to the Judicial Commission.
Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has written a letter to the Supreme Judicial Commission and formally informed it about the names of these members.
The names of five members from the National Assembly and Senate have been sent to the Supreme Judicial Commission to form a Judicial Commission for the appointment of judges in the Supreme Court and High Courts.
Senator Farooq Naik and Senator Shibli Faraz have been nominated for the Judicial Commission from the Senate.
According to the National Assembly Spokesperson, the Speaker National Assembly has nominated Roshan Khursheed Bharocha for the women's seat.
It said all nominations have been sent to the Secretary Judicial Commission. These five members of Parliament have been included in the Judicial Commission after the approval of the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
The names sent from the Parliament have equal representation from the Government and the opposition.
Speaker Of The National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has sent the names after consulting with the Chairman Senate, Yousaf Raza Gilani, and all Parliamentary Parties.
