New Zealand Beat South Africa By 6 Wickets In Lahore

Kane Williamson's quick-fire century led New Zealand to a six-wicket victory over South Africa in the second match of Tri-Nation ODI Series at Gaddafi Stadium securing a place in the final.

Earlier, batting first Souh Africa scored 304 runs for the loss of six wickets in allotted 50 overs.

Debutant opener Matthew Breetzke played a blistering knock and remained top scorer with 150 runs.

He smashed 11 fours and five sixes in his 148-ball knock.

Matthew Breetzke became the first player to make 150 on their one-day international debut.

He eclipsed West Indies Legend Desmond Haynes, who made 148 against Australia on his debut in 1978. The next highest score on debut is 127.

Wiaan Mulder added 64 while Jason smith scored 41 runs.

For New Zealand Matt Henry and Will O’rourke bagged two wickets each.

In reply New Zealand achieved the 305-run target for the loss of four wickets in 48.4 overs.

New Zealand lost opener will young on 50. He made 19 runs. Star batter Kane Williamson and Devon Conway than added 187 runs stand for the second wicket to put their team on driving seat.

Williamson remained top scorer with unbeaten 133 runs. He smashed 13 fours and two sixes in his innings.

Devon Conway made 97 runs with the help of nine fours and one six.

For South Africa Senuran Muthusamy bagged two wickets.

Kane Williamson declared player of the match.

This is the second consecutive win for New Zealand in the tournament and they qualify for the final.

Meanwhile the last league match between Pakistan and South Africa becomes a virtue semi final.

The winner of the match will qualify for the final and will face New Zealand on February 14 in Karachi.
