After Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the National Stadium Karachi is also ready to host Champions Trophy.

A colorful ceremony will be held to inaugurate the stadium today evening.

Famous singers Ali Zafar, Shafqat Amanat Ali and Sahir Ali Bagga will perform and a spectacular display of fireworks and light show will be organised on the occasion. Public can view the show for free.

The personal monitoring team of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi worked day and night to ensure completion of the project in 120 days.

Speaking on the occasion, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said construction work at the National Stadium had started on September 28 and completed on January 31.

He said the pavilion building was completely demolished and then reconstructed while new seats had been installed in each enclosure.

Mohsin Naqvi said new led lights, modern score screens and grills have been installed while fences removed to ensure better view for the spectators.

The PCB Chairman appreciated the hard work put in by workers in the construction of the National Stadium, saying that the FWO, NESPAK, contractors and the entire PCB team worked tirelessly.
