Prince Rahim Agha Khan has Officially Assumeed the role of the 50th Hereditary Imam of the Ismaili Muslim Community.
The event takes place at the diwan of the Ismaili Imamat in Lisbon, Portugal.
Ismaili Community Members around the World observe the ceremony Via Livestream in their Jamatkhanas in more than 35 countries.
In his address, Prince Rahim Agha Khan pays tribute to his late Father, Prince Karim Agha Khan Iv, and thanks his Family for their presence and Support.
He also thanks the Governments of Portugal and Egypt for the way in which they acknowledge his father’s Contributions.
His Message Focuses on Universal concepts of peace, Tolerance, inclusion, and support for those in need.
He says that he wants his community to be Loyal and active Citizens of the Countries in which they live and Urges the Ismaili community to lead by Example in matters related to Climate Change.
