Federal Cabinet Meeting: Increase In Remittances Shows Expats' Trust In Govt: PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said remittances from overseas Pakistanis have increased which is a reflection of their trust in the government and its policies.
Chairing the Federal Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said he had held meetings with Pakistani investors in Dubai and invited them to invest in Pakistan, assuring them of macroeconomic stability and ease of doing business.
He stressed the need to focus on GDP growth, adding that the best steps are being taken to increase the pace of economic growth.
The Prime Minister said he held meetings with various leaders on the sidelines of the world governments summit in Dubai, including senior leadership of Dubai, Sri Lanka, Bosnia, Kuwait as well as head of DP World.
He said he had a fruitful meeting with the UAE President Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, adding that Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir also participated in the meeting.
Talking about his meeting with the IMF managing director, Prime Minister Shehbaz said the IMF md had lauded the govt’s efforts to restore economic stability and praised team Pakistan lavishly.
He said we have earned this appreciation through hard work.
