Movie stars descended on Santa Monica Beach for the 40th Film Independent Spirit Awards where "Anora" from Writer-Director Sean Baker took the top "best feature" prize.
"Anora," was the big winner and also took the Best Performance Award for Madison and best Director for Baker.
Jesse Eisenberg won best sceenplay "a real pain" while Actor Kieran Culkin was named best supporting actor for the same movie.
In the television categories, “Baby Reindeer” swept the board with the show's creator, star and writer, Richard Gadd, winning best lead actor.
His costars Jessica gunning and Nava Mau, also were recognized with best supporting and breakthrough performance.

The Film Independent Spirit Awards are held annually on Santa Monica Beach, near Los Angeles, and fall in the final stretch of Hollywood's Awards Season ahead of the Academy Awards.
