South Korea: Court Issues Arrest Warrant for Impeached President

A South Korean Court has issued an arrest warrant for impeached and suspended President Yoon Suk Yeol, over his short-lived bid to impose martial law on the country.
According to details, the arrest warrant and search warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol, requested by the joint investigation headquarters, were issued this morning.
This is the first ever arrest warrant issued for an incumbent President in South Korea.
Yoon was stripped of his presidential duties by Parliament over his short-lived martial law declaration this month. A Constitutional Court ruling is pending on whether to confirm the impeachment.
